Applied Scintillation Technologies achieves ISO9001:2000 certification

Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST) today announced that the company has achieved ISO9001:2000 compliance for their quality management system, as determined and certified by National Quality Assurance (NQA) a UKAS accredited body.

AST achieved its first quality accreditation (ISO9002:1994) back in 1996, a year after a management buy-in. The upgrade to the new level of certification is a consequence of continued management commitment to company growth and provision of resource to satisfy the increasing demands of its key customer base which includes many blue chip companies

“The AST Quality management System is designed to control all of the important processes affecting quality, from the initial enquiry, design and development phases, receipt of an order to the delivery of the finished product” said Dr Glenn Tyrrell, AST’s Technical & Business Development Director. “Customer satisfaction and continual improvement are permanent objectives of AST’s strategy to develop differentiating scintillator products for all our customers.”
