Laser Show Proves Successful for AST

The Laser World of Photonics Exhibition, held recently in Munich, Germany, proved to be great success for Applied Scintillation Technologies (AST). With over 24,000 visitors to the show, AST staff were kept busy throughout the 4 days and recorded a significant number of high quality sales leads.

AST Sales & Commercial Director, Stuart Quinn, said: “Perhaps not surprisingly for a laser-oriented exhibition, the major interest was for our VISUALIZE® range of laser alignment products. These attracted around 55% of our enquiries, but we were also delighted with the level of interest in our scintillation coatings and phosphors for CCD imagers, which accounted for a further 25% of the enquiries”.

“As a global supplier, we were also pleased with the geographical spread of visitors to the stand”, he continued. “In addition to a strong European presence, we also met with visitors from the USA, Canada, China, Japan, Korea, India and Russia. As well as providing us with good quality sales leads, the show also proved to be a boost for our marketing activities. We were able to have constructive discussions with a number of prospective distributors for our products”.
