Alpha and Beta Detection Combined
Dual Alpha/Beta-Rad provides both alpha and beta particle detection.
A high efficiency zinc sulphide based coating is deposited directly on to a plastic scintillator panel.
The zinc sulphide detects the alpha particles while the plastic scintillator detects the beta particles, as well as acting as a light guide feeding the photomultiplier tube that is found in both hand-held and fixed detectors.
