A zinc sulphide based scintillator is coated directly on to perspex light guides for use in hand-held probes, fixed in personnel or equipment scanners that are sited at points of entry to, or exit from, high risk areas.
A version is also available on thin mylar sheet where intimate contact between the sample and detector is required such as in radio nucleotide studies.
