AST provides a variety of alpha & beta particle scintillators, screens and coatings to companies manufacturing hand-held and fixed scanners for the detection of contamination on personnel, garments or equipment.  The high-performance detectors are primarily used in radiation protection applications such as health & safety at work, environment monitoring and decommissioning procedures

Alpha-Rad and Beta-Rad are designed to detect alpha and beta particles respectively while Dual Alpha/Beta-Rad detects both alpha & beta particles (please see the Radiation Protection page for more details).
