The MedeX Medium range of high absorption X-ray fluoroscopic phosphor
screens are available in a number of sizes up to 50 cm x 50 cm.
The screens are constructed using high efficiency X-ray phosphor, backed
with a reflective white support and mounted onto a rigid carbon fibre
backing plate. The screens are designed for use in radiographic
systems based on lens coupled designs.
Applications:
• General radiography and fluoroscopy
- 70 to 125 kV
Benefits:
• Safer for the patient as its high
gain characteristics allow images to be taken with a low dose of
X-rays
• High gain allows lower X-ray exposures.
Low dose applications are viewed as beneficial by the FDA
• Better imaging quality than screens
of comparable coating weight
